Following the reports that millions of logins and passwords belonging to Polish citizens and websites were leaked online, please verify the security of your account and check whether there were any unauthorized attempts to log into your account, perform operations, changes or locks of your accounts.
Please also verify your account at bilet.intercity.pl. If you have any suspicions of any operations which you did not authorize, please change your password immediately - it is not recommended to use the option to remember login passwords in the browser for this purpose.
A data leak may be caused by stealer malware, which infects the computer to steal data saved in the browser, such as the login, password and login page. Therefore, we only recommend using a well-tested password manager available in the market. Regardless of the browser you choose, such an app is used to generate unique and strong passwords, and to store them securely against unauthorized access.
Please remember that stealers may be disseminated by mail (e.g., as an attachment to an email or a link to a website) or in programs, especially those from unauthorized sources (e.g., warez websites, torrents or even social media sites). This is why it is best to stay highly cautious when opening attachments received in emails or programs downloaded from unauthorized, suspicious sources.
Please remember to always have activated and updates antivirus, and make sure that you use the newest versions of your operational system and programs, including the web browser.
Another good practice is to use different passwords for different accounts to prevent a situation in which all of them are taken over if a password is stolen from one of them.
You can check if your data was leaked by cybercriminals at bezpiecznedane.gov.pl
